We're often asked if it's ok to give pins to young children. We say, you know your child better than us. But, if they're still at the stage of putting things in their mouths, you should definitely avoid any sharp objects.
You will need:
- A corkboard
- Toy mallet/hammer
- Push pins
- Wool
How to play
Step 1
Give your child the corkboard and pins to create a shape – they can use a toy mallet to hammer them down.
Step 2
Now, challenge your child to tie the pins together using wool. We made letters and a spider's web! What will your child create?
