How to make your pop-up Christmas card

  1. Ask your child to colour in the Christmas tree and then cut it out along the dashed lines. Fold back the tabs along the dotted lines.
  2. Meanwhile, fold a coloured piece of card in half.
  3. When the tree is ready, position it in the middle of the card. Add a bit of glue to each tab and stick them to the card.
  4. Practice opening and closing the card. To really make the tree pop out, it helps to fold back along the middle of the tree (it will fold in the opposite direction to the fold in the card).
  5. Now ask your child to decorate the card and add a message. There are fun printable card decorations to colour, cut out and stick on below.
