2. Halloween pumpkin quesadilla - a spooky lunch

Ingredients:

  • soft tortillas
  • grated cheese
  • tomatoes
  • sliced peppers
  • lettuce leaf (for the stalk)

You can swap the fillings for your child’s favourite flavours. Try adding ham, tuna or even baked beans.

Method:

  1. Lay out the tortillas on a clean surface. Help your child to cut out shapes to create a classic Halloween pumpkin face in one tortilla. Try triangles for eyes, and a big toothy smile.
  2. Prepare the other ingredients. Add grated cheese to a bowl, then mix in the chopped vegetables of your choice.
  3. Put a frying pan on a medium heat and lay a plain tortilla in the bottom. Add a spoonful of the vegetable-cheese mixture. Place the Jack O Lantern tortilla on top.
  4. Transfer your quesadilla to a grill, and cook for a few minutes until the cheese has melted.
  5. Ask your little one to add a leaf of lettuce to the top of their pumpkin.

3. Spiderweb pizza - perfect for parties
